Hull Extension & Hydraulic Swim Platform

This 118’ Northcoast, built in the Pacific Northwest, was extended 5 feet by the team at Platypus Marine, Inc. The job was performed in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Inside the 5-foot transom extension is a hydraulic dive platform that expands out of the transom and into the water. The task of extending this boat included reworking the exhaust system including plenums, all drainages, installation of hydraulics, and all mechanical installations of the dive platform. The stern was fitted with underwater lights, teak decks and a remote control to extend and contract the dive platform. In addition to the custom dive platform, the crew at Platypus Marine consulted on all structural FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) about the construction and installation of the custom hard top.
