Assurance, 60′ steel Schooner Crab/Tuna Fishing vessel was hauled out at Platypus Marine for her extended drydock period inside our indoor facility. While located in the pacific northwest shipyard, Platypus Marine painters sanded down and used owner supplied paint on the topcoat of the vessel. In addition Platypus Marine painters applied multiple coats of International antifouling paint to the hull, and replaced the expired zincs. Platypus Marine Mechanics inspected the stern bearing tube and replaced the plumbing valve to complete the project. Assurance has been launched back into the straight of Juan de Fuca and will be returning back to work.
