Drawn to the Adventures of the sea, Ellen and Seth have decided to embark on a voyage through the Artic Passage in Alaska. They have both been sailing since they were young and also love sharing their love for Adventure, Wildlife, and the Sea through their magazine articles and online photography blog. You can follow their adventures on their website, www.gonefloatabout.com .
In April of 2014, Ellen and Seth took their Sailboat ‘Celeste II’ into Platypus Marine Shipyard to install protective Kevlar hull sheathing in preparation of their voyage and with a new topcoat finish, Celeste II was looking better than new. Read about their Platypus Marine experience in Ocean Navigator here, Armor-belted.
Celeste II has now been able to safely harbor Seth and Ellen up to Alaska and when the time is right, take them through the Artic Passage.
In the meantime Ellen and Seth have been asked to showcase their adventures at the Miami Strictly Sail Boat Show. It was there that Ellen gave two lectures on Sailing Alaska from Juan de Fuca Strait (Washington State/British Columbia) up to Ketchikan and the Inside Passage, across the Gulf of Alaska to Prince William Sound, and then all the way out the Alaska Peninsula to the Aleutian Islands. For more Information about Ellen and Seth’s activates at the Miami Strictly Sail Boat show, check out her blog here.
