Polar Bear – Refinishing teak deck
Polar Bear 93′ Aluminum Expedition Yacht, was hauled out at Platypus Marine Shipyard for her extended drydock period. While located in the Pacific Northwest Shipyard work included but was not limited to replacing the teak deck and seams on the bow, bridge, deck aft and bridge hatches, painting the lazarette door frame, satellite communication domes, topside paint touch ups with Awlcraft White. Platypus Marine technicians cleaned and coated the prop shafts and props with prop speed and applied two coats of Sharkskin antifouling paint to the underside of the hull. After she received a polish and wax on the Cabin the Polar Bear was launched and is out at sea once again.
