The United States Navy’s YC-1570 Barge was recently hauled out into Platypus Marine Shipyard. It was sandblasted from top to bottom and had all of its hardware removed and replaced with new 316 grade stainless steel. In addition the hull rubber bracket bars were straightened and repaired. Other Repairs and procedures included but not limited to Priming and painting the top coat, bottom painting the hull and applying nonskid to the deck.
