The United States Navy’s Logistic Escape Trunks were transported into Platypus Marine Shipyard for the final parts of their construction. They were sandblasted from top to bottom and had all of its hardware removed and replaced with new stainless steel hardware. In addition to adding hand Rails and other modifications, the paint department used an Awl-grip paint to give the L.E.T’s a bright perspective complete with non-skid to the deck. The Logistic Escape Trunks were then transported offsite to a Local Naval base. The LET’s were finished on time and within budget.
